Early breakfast at the lodge then proceeds to the park headquarters in time for Gorilla Trekking briefing at 07h00. We will then transfer you to the start point of your guided walk that begins at 08h00. Here your amazing adventure begins.

Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range and is the home of the rare mountain gorilla and the rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath, but the high point will be spending an hour with the remarkably peaceful gorillas despite their size and appearance as they go about their daily life, feeding, playing, resting and raising their young.

After this memorable experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch and much needed rest. In the afternoon at 15h30, you will visit the Ibyi Iwacu village for a cultural experience.

Breakfast at the lodge and check out. 09h00: You will have a leisurely drive back to Kigali. Arrive at around 12h00 and have lunch at the Select Boutique Restaurant. At 14h30, visit the Kigali (Gisozi) Genocide Memorial site, followed by Inema arts gallery and if time permits a local market. The Kigali Memorial exists is a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide in 1994. It deals with a topic of international importance, with far-reaching significance, and is designed to engage and challenge an international visitor base. Here you will be able to visit the three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide. You will then be transferred to The Kigali Marriot in the evening for check in, dinner and overnight stay.
